Not if you take the can and turn it upside down and slam it down on a boat paddle. Lay a sack of Saltines beside it on the paddle,,, eat a few and then pass the paddle to your buddy in the back of the boat...
Kids these days....

I think it's awesome md is keeping it real. Although it really is just a troll job because imo he knows it looks disgusting (especially the 'coleslaw' ha!) and wants (and got) a reaction and to mock the board. All in all an excellent thread.

Those who know me understand that at base I am a down to earth guy.

I can cook with almost all of the posters here (except for a few who know who they are). However, the things I enjoy cooking and eating include a large number of very simple "common" foods.

And I am not ashamed in any way of the things I cook and eat.

Nothing to be ashamed of. I like chili dogs too. Who doesn't. I would probably pass on your coleslaw but hey that's just me. Again, excellent thread.

I noticed over the past few weeks that I like reading your posts. Thanks for sharing.

I like the hormel. It's how we did chili when I was a kid. I could skip the mustard slaw I think. Never had it or even heard of it before. My dogs go on a mayo'd bun, with cheese on the dog and chili on the cheese.

And someone mentioned cool whip. It has one very specific purpose - to go on top of pudding.

For some reason I find it's easier to get a puppy peter out of the can when it's cold and the slime is all congealed. Maybe it's because the peter is firmed up due to the lower temp and therefor is more resistant to breakage. Summer time is next to impossible to get the first bastard out without smushing it to smithereens..

Nothing to be ashamed of and I can tell lately you're a genuine sweet guy.

This thread isn't my taste but I can understand the nostalgia in it.
But if the board turns to all threads of this nature, my heart will break

I like hot dogs with mustard, so I don't find the slaw with mustard that bizarre. Like I said before, I think I'll add slaw to the my next hot dog with some chopped onions. Don't know if I'll mix the slaw with a little mustard or just put mustard on the bun and add slaw, but it'll basically be the same thing. NO Hormel, though. The thought of that stuff sort of makes my stomach turn.

As for nostalgia, an after school snack for me used to be potato sticks tossed in mustard in a bowl that I ate with a spoon. I've been known to revert back to that treat once every 5 years or so when the craving strikes. Sort of looks like that cole slaw, but it sure tastes good.

When I was a kid I would sometimes make a ketchup sandwich. Recipe is two pieces of Bunny bread and Heinz. I don't feel very nostalgic for some reason though.

Sir:
The mustard slaw is what I grew up eating. I am old as dirt. Why stop or change now.

I think the varsity in Atlanta uses mayo mix coleslaw on their dogs and if they do I have had it and didn't care for it.

My days are fewer and fewer . I'll stick to the things I enjoy if that's ok.

I was just asking. i would eat it, i dont give a shite.

wasnt sure if you knew mayo was actually atkins friendly

No slaw or chili, but my version of a hot dog these days. I mistakenly bought the low calorie wrap instead of the low carb wrap.

I should split it before I microwave, to get the curl, right? Right now I leave it whole, but I put a diagonal slash through it.

Critical stuff!!!
