Hello All. I’m looking to see if anyone on this board has had any luck finding fresh/frozen boneless whole turkey breast? I cannot for the life of me find any in the 337 region. I usually smoke these for the holidays but would like to do more. Wife’s family lives in Texas so I’ve only ever been able to find them at HEB.

you'll likely find a whole turkey at Sams, Walmart, Super One, Albertsons priced cheaper than the boneless, skinless breast. My advice, buy a whole turkey, cut the breast out per your wishes (smoke later for in-laws). Smoke the wings, legs, thighs, & carcass. Remove meat from bones and make a turkey salad for sandwiches. Throw smoked bones in pot and make a stock/broth for future gumbos or soups. Win, Win, Win

Rouses always has them but they aren’t big. They come in a pack like the pork loins do with two of them.
My suggestion, which is also for myself b/c I like smoking them as well and don’t want a whole turkey, is to wait until after thanksgiving and Christmas when the grocery stores cut them up and they are selling the big boobies with the bone and buy a bunch and freeze them.

Is this what you are talking about?
ETA: They have changed these immensely the last couple of years.

Yes, basically this. Unfortunately the butterball brand is not always a perfectly whole and intact turkey breast when compared to HEB. Often times, there are multiple pieces of a turkey breast placed in a net with the butterball brand.

talk to the meat counter at whatever supermarket you shop at. Honeysuckle also makes these just like HEB. They usually have to commit to buying a case of 6. I have told them that I will buy all 6 if they order a box.
Its the easiest thing to throw on a smoker and people love them. I do one of these every time I run our smoker.

Might check out BBQ spots around you that do turkey. Our spot will sell them with a bit of notice (raw) also Brisket and other stuff. I can walk in a buy (raw)

I love their cajun version, but I can't find it anywhere anymore.
