So you take them out, rinse off all the mud, and return to the sack? Good luck with that. Or are you simply boiling dirty crawfish? Yuk.

Those have clearly not been washed. The water is fricking black.

Yeah, me too. All I see is some citrus in that water. No onions, celery, garlic, corn, sausage, bay leaves, mushrooms------or a hint of seasoning.

This must be one of those Texas boils where they boil them and then throw Tony's over the crawfish after they pull the out the pot. What a waste of good seafood if that's the case.

Gonna go out on a limb and say those sacks aren’t made for boiling water? I’ll pass just on not wanting to eat something from a vat of boiling water and nylon.

Haven’t got started on that whole swamp water they got going on...

That guy either washed them and put them back in the sack (Doubtful) or he's yet to discover that sometimes there's a rotten fish head or some stinkbait hiding in those sacks (The water's filthy. I'm going with this one).

Either way, that's just friggin' dumb.

He probably built that big arse square boiling pot himself then realized he didn't have a basket to fit it to strain the crawfish.

No. Nasty.

Not trying to hijack thread but I thoroughly wash my crawfish before boiling to get dirt off and pull out grass, dead ones/crushed ones and bait. I did a crawfish cookoff this year (15 sacks) and did my normal routine of washing.

It's amazing how many other teams pour directly from sack to boiling water. Their water when done with just one boil looks like Bourbon Street gutter water.

I am sure it exist but I have never seen it nor ever asked for it. I'm sure you pay a premium for this. Where can you get crawfish pre cleaned? How much extra per pound?

I will never do it because I like to take out the dead or crushed ones but just curious.

I get them from a wholesaler, they sit in a purge tank overnight then sack them back up just before I pick them up. I pay a premium but sometimes boil a few thousand pounds so I’m not about to clean that myself
