They basically released a statement saying they are looking at June but want to look at what everyone else is doing.

AKA we want to wait for Phase 2 and don't think its feasible to be open in Phase 1.

It sure seems like they could make some decent money with minimal effort with their set up.

I saw where Wrong Iron is still thinking through their opening.

There's always 2 sides to the story, but thought it was interesting. I understand what CoBu has to do, but some of the details seem unethical

The second person sounds like a scorned employee. Not that I don't trust what they say, but they worked there and took the money for three years knowing the same things.

A lot of employees don't understand how them being on umemployment affects the business as well. They just see the free money.

BBQ Shops are probably among the best genre of places for takeout. Most people don't eat BBQ for the ambiance or dining room experience. It's quick and dirty.
and is still great at home. Some dishes from other places are just meh

Its hard to pick a side when I really see both have valid points. I've been very much on the side of businesses in a lot of this (weird, for me).. but I can see why employees would be upset too.

This is the governments fault for not thinking this through.

Forcing people, who are mostly lower income workers to begin with, to choose between working part time and making $300/week and not working at all and making $750/week isn't beneficial to anyone.

There should have been better options for people to collect smaller benefits while working part time.

Sounds like CBD CoBu is going to pay the guy what he was making and they’re not even open? Is that right? His real gripe is he’s making more on unemployment

I know a few people in HR and a few business owners and this is a REAL fricking issue.

Employees are absolutely pissed if they applied for PPP or are wanting them to come back to work.

That's what I get from it, he wants the unemployment because it was more money. Even though he is still getting his normal check and will have a job when they open back up

The clinic the GF (no pics) works for has a few like that. They were set to make 500 a week from unemployment which is more than what they make normally. One of the girls went to a doctor to say it was hazardous to her health to work and she needed to be on unemployment.

Forget they went from working 30-40 hours a week to 20-25 but get the same check as if they were working the 30-40.

That is the crux of the issue, and I’m not totally sure how it works with reporting it back to the unemployment office in regards to the PPP loan stipulations

But shite who wants to go back to work for half of UE & risk exposure on top of that? It’s the service industry, you can work just about anywhere when UE ends.

I can’t see people being forced to come off UE even wanting to go back to work for the people that forced them off

I have been getting 30 unemployment requests a week since this started for people who havent worked for me in months/years. Then the few who quit or were fired are applying as well. We've been opened throughout and no one's hours were cut, and we've been noting that on all unemployment requests
