I've give McDonald's hell over the years for that tasteless food but they nailed it with the Big Arch. The one I had was very juicy with great taste. It's better than any fast food burger out there.

I didn’t think it was good at all. It was sloppy and rather tasteless to me.

Maybe I’ll give it another go someday

Mine was very juicy so I expected it to fall apart but it never did. I was impressed with it.

Just had one

My thoughts:

Bread- Not a big bread guy but the sesame/ poppy bun was pretty tasty and didn't surrender to all the sauce like I thought it would.

Sauce- It tastes ok, kinda tangy/vinegary with hints of pickle. Of course they put way too much on there and it made the burger pretty sloppy. Not sure if that's by designed or if Jamal at my local McD's just got heavy handed. I probably would have been fine with a little mayo and mustard, and they could have kept the sauce.

Cheese- it had like 3 slices of white cheddar which was really good and melty. Kinda amplified the excessive sauce though. But that wasn't the cheese's fault.

Patty- The two patties had a little crisp like a smashed burger patty. I thought they were really good. Much better than the grey/soybean elementary school looking patties that are on most of their burgers. Probably the best McDonald's patties Ive had.

Toppings- Typical McD's pickles and lettuce, with some onion slivers. Probably an adequate amount, but yet again all the goopy sauce kinda rendered them useless.

Ratings:

On the overall burger scale- 6.2

On the McDonald's Burger scale- 9.5

On the fast food burger scale- 8.1

That was my first non breakfast trip to McDonald's in I can't remember when. Probably a couple years. If I find myself back before it's gone I will likely get another and request minimal or no sauce. I doubt I do though.

I don’t care for the sauce on it. Too tangy for me. The white “cheddar” just tastes like white American.

I’d rather a double quarter pounder deluxe any day.

So I guess they don't have the Big Arch in Japan...but they have BK's King Yeti!

Had it today. For a fast food burger the taste was good. I didn't care for the bun. It's also too much food with a regular French fry. A single patty version would have been better for me.

They are exactly the same as their quarter pounder/double quarter pounder patties. Not similar and cooked differently etc… exactly the same.

I had it a couple of days ago. My son doesn't like sauce so his was dry. I ordered it with no changes and the sauce ovewhelmed the bun, Meat tasted good bur fell apart in my hands.

I admire your passion for McDonald's burgers, so I'll take your word for it. I personally haven't had a quarter pounder since the Clinton administration. I am far from an expert

Quarter pounders are the only patties cooked fresh at McDonald’s and the Big Arch uses QP patties instead of the patties for Big Mac, McDouble etc. That's why he notices the difference in other burgers

The patties were more crumbling than I recall from a quarter pounder.

This. Since McD's switched to fresh/never frozen quarter pounder patties that are cooked when you order, any burger using the quarter pound patty at McDs is a pretty decent burger.

I liked the Big Arch, but I like Big Mac sauce better. The Arch sauce is a little more tangy, like it contains more mustard. Not a bad sauce, but I think it would make a better fry sauce.

I call bs on this, I had a quarter pounder the other day, it was out the window in 39 seconds.

It was late at night leaving the hospital, it was fine, but no way they slapped it on the griddle just for me
