Had some spillage that got to the bottom and hardened up. What’s the best way to clean an oven, is there a great product above the rest?

Easy Off is your first choice. If that doesn't work a solution of lye in water will. If you do the lye version, goggles and gloves are a must.

Elbow grease and a scour pad

Oven cleaner. Follow the directions. Let it sit overnight and when time is up, everything will come off with a scrubbing pad.

Get a pumice stone, wet it, and scrub the stuff away. You can get it looking brand new. Pumice seems like it would scratch but it will not. Can use it on porcelain.
Pumice stones are sold at most hardware stores. Cost about $2 to $3 for one. Guarantee you will not regret buying one and using it.

Easy-Off works for me
This is all I ever use, but I do pre-heat the oven first. Not hot, but to warm-----no more than 150 degrees. Spray the oven cleaner on and let it sit and do its work.
I use those sponges with the green scouring pad on one side to get the crap off. Make sure to wipe it clean with a damp cloth afterwards.

I ran the oven self clean for the first time ever and it turned everything inside to ash. Worked like a charm

Let oven self clean.
Wipe out.
Easy off -sponge- scrub pad if necessary should do trick for the rest.
Wipe out with clean water.

Does it not have a self clean option?

I refuse to clean an oven for some reason I either have it done by a cleaning lady or wait till my mother gets fed up with it

PS Remove the racks if using the "self clean"

If you do a self clean..wipe up any liquid spills..I did not and the oven was smoking during the self clean. The inside of the oven was black. I tried to clean with an SOS pad and didn't work. I just started the self clean again and it worked.
