Surprised no one has gone with "the one I cooked myself" route

I got a couple prime strips and cooked them in a skillet with brown butter. Basting constantly. They were the best I've had this year.

2" dry aged ribeyes from LeBlancs that I cooked at the camp for father's day. Hot charcoal and wet hickory chips. Finished with a pat of butter.

I've been to Pax twice now and both times it was great. The bone marrow and the ribeye for 2 have been my favorites so far.

The only downside IMO is that the tables are real close together and it gets really loud.

Filets from Whole Foods just last week. My husband grilled them perfectly. We'd had steaks at Ruth's Chris two weeks ago and these were much better (and I'm not a Ruth's hater).

I haven't ordered a whole bunch of steaks much lately. Probably Does in Monroe and a couple that my buddy cooked. He's got a gas broiler that R&V (fish fryer folks) makes that is bad arse. It will get up on the thousands of degrees. The Does was a 2lb T-bone. It was simply fine.

The only reason I mentioned the one I cooked is because I haven't been to Ruth's this year. Ruth's always cooks a better steak than me.

Besides the ones I cook myself, best was at Bohanans in San Antonio. Had an akaushi 18oz rib eye black and blue. Really good.
