Other than Deanies. Wasn’t impressed. Craving seafood and not willing to have a boil just yet

I’m not sure what you’re deeming the “River Parishes.”

River parish’s are traditionally known as St Charles, St John and st James, Ascension is sometimes included , especially more recently

Nothing in ascension counts. Brewbachers is a staple. That says a lot.

Ormond is awesome. They still have not resumed their dinner hours though as far as I'm aware. There website says they haven't resumed thur-sat dinner yet.

Not going to find anything in St. John besides greasy fried junk for the plant baws

I thought about including it, but I think it's technically Tangipahoa Parish.

Went to Spahrs two nights ago. Food was delicious. However, the chips with the spinach and artichoke dip were stale and my cup of gumbo was served cold. The gumbo had amazing flavor but kinda turned me off knowing the temp was cold and had probably been sitting out all day. The dip itself was amazing but the chips were stale which threw it way off..

It’s a stones throw from St. John so I’m calling it river parishes
Posted on 1/18/23 at 3:51 pm to Springlake Tiger
Yeah, the width of Pass Manchac essentially.

I'll put forth Pier 51 and Mabile's in LaPlace. Nothing fancy about either place but they can cook. Also Frenier Landing if it hasn't been mentioned. Petra can be great but is hit and miss.

I’ll second Mabile’s
