Parrians for fried seafood

For more upscale, Mansur's or Louisiana Lagniappe. Not close to LSU but not far either.

They are known for their fried stuff, but they have several excellent fish entrees that are not fried. The BBQ Drum is one of my favorite fish dishes in town.

If you want fried seafood but others in your party are looking for some thing else besides seafood try Elsie's Plate and Pie. Their big plate seafood platter is the best fried seafood in town imo at the best price.

If you really want to stay close to LSU the Chimes has some very good seafood dishes as well.

I had a non-fried fish dish at Parrain's and it was amazing.

Agreed. They're not known for their seafood at all, but their fried shrimp and fish are excellent!

Parrains, Mike Anderson's, Phil's, and Roberto's River Road Restaurant are all very good choices to consider.

Parrain's and Mike Anderson's. Glad you mentioned it's move in weekend so I can avoid going down River Road!

Born and raised in south Louisiana, I am and will always be a Mike Anderson's guy.

You cannot show a better plate of food then their crabmeat au gratin. Heaven in your mouth.
