I agree. Charley G’s is getting outdated and bland. We use to go there often, but haven’t been in 3 years probably.

Lafayette Dinning Scene is weak except for Poseidon's, Cugino, Mazen Grill and Sydnie Mae.

LOL, I only care for Sydnie Mae in that list. To each his own.

Charley G's: A room, B-meals, B-service, C value
Cugino: A room, C-meals, C-service, C- value
Pamplona: B room, B+ meals, B+ service, B value
Vestal: D room(noise), B+ meals, B+ service. C value
Janes: B + Room, B+ meals, B+ service, C value
Park Bistro: B- room, B+ meals, B service, B value
Marcellos: B room, B meals, B service, B value
Mazen: B room, C meals, C service, B value

We all judge pork chops against Perry's Steakhouse which is really a high mark to achieve!

You are pretty spot on on your list. We'll get downvoted for it but I pretty much agree. Of all on the list Mazen to me is the most overrated by a mile. Nothing special food wise, average service, and the price for the average food is way too high. I have never understood the love for this place, and I have been quite a few times over the last 25 years. Bring back the Catfish Shack

The Cock of the Walk was better than both

Wow, thanks for the break down. I’m in Laffy often for work, so this helps. I was planning trip to Vestal with colleagues but maybe not

Vestal is good, probably the best food in Lafayette. It’s also expensive. It’s also loud, per others but I’ve never found issue with that. I also have perfect hearing, so maybe it would bother older folks who have some level of hearing loss.

Agree that Vestal may have best food. Most of the plates I've had there underdeliver on what they were trying to do, but they aim high, so it's still good. Park Bistro is underrated around here I think. They deliver a lot more on what they're trying to do, but it's a little more casual. They would be neck and neck on my list food wise.

We went to adopted Dog and it was a pretty cool spot. Beer wasn't bad. Had a jump lady playing acoustic guitar and singing some good tunes. They were having a dog Easter egg hunt. Kinda cheesy but the kids were having fun.

I'd Def go back.

Eta: beer is stupid expensive at Cajun dome. Nate Bargatze was pretty dang funny.

Great weekend.

I didn't drink anything but water at the show. $5 for a bottle of Dasani was a bit aggressive. We saw Nate on this same tour earlier in Gulf Shores during a tropical system. He was great there, too. Last night he did pretty much the same set, but he had some new stuff, too.

It is very noisy and average fried food. Atmosphere is nice, but the noise is not.
