if one should find themselves in lovely abita springs, both mama d’s and abita cafe are far superior dining options. The brew pub is a cool place to hang and listen to music on the patio though and the beer is good. Food not so much. And Rosie’s is a great dive bar

Busters is good in a simple way.
Have not been to DiCristina's in a while, but they are very good.

I prefer 527 over Gallagher's Hwy 21 simply due to the acoustics of the buildings. I cannot hear myself think at the 21 location but frequent 527 a good bit.
Pat produces a better steak over KY IMO.
Numerous people have also told me that Sal n Judy's has the best steak on the Northshore by far. I have never had the steak when visiting Sal n Judy's however.

For an elevated experience, Tchefuncte’s in Madisonville has the “best” steaks on the Northshore. They have dry aged, wagyu, A5 etc

Tchefuncte is good but extremely swanky. Gallagher’s is more of an old school steakhouse. Their steaks are good but can be a little inconsistent. They are always better when Pat is there. The cowboy has gone downhill in recent years FWIW. Super thin now. My go to is the. boneless ribeye. If you like your steak rare or medium rare, ask them not to put it on a hot plate when it comes out. Their plates are super hot and will cook the steak more and make it uneven.
Agree with earlier poster that 527 is typically a better steak. Both 527 and Tyler locations have a better steak than Young’s IMO. Pat Gallagher also bought Annabelle’s and is opening a new restaurant there. I believe target is this month. It’s called River Saint.

had dinner at del Porto tonite for the first time in a while and it was phenomenal. Really enjoyed it and the waiter was fantastic which I appreciate. Less than $200 for four courses and a bottle of wine.
