Interesting that you mentioned this. This guy probably shares your opinion. Read his outsider's review here

I'm going to have to check this place out next time I'm in New Orleans. Sounds great.

it may not have the "best po boy in New Orleans", but imo, there are 6 or 7 po boys there that are above average. Ive had all 3 of the ones in that blog, they are all very good.

now im hungry

they make a shrimp remoulade po boy with fried green tomatoes that is awesome.

oyster po boy is good too. As is roast beef

At the moment a cheeseburger po boy with grilled onions from Guillory's is my favorite.

That is a really good po-boy. Guillory's is an excellent place. Their homemade sausage is killer.

Mahoneys has excellent po boys but they are way too expensive, although as has been said the Root Beer ham is out of this world. Parkway Surf and Turf is prob my favorite overall poboy.

I think New Orleans has 6 or 7 places with better po boys that are much cheaper. If you go to Mahoneys and order a shrimp po boy, side of french fries, and a coke, you are looking at $22. That's a little absurd, don't you think?

Guy's is my favorite.

Has anyone ever had a po boy from Cooter Browns? Is it any good? I have been there thousands of times and have never ordered one.

Ive only had the catfish and soft shell crab. Catfish is superb. Soft shell crab is pretty good, especially for the price

Honest question. Mother's was never mentioned? I am a LA native but a NO tourist. So is it really just a hack place?
