Moved to Texas last year and I want to order a king cake for my office. I really enjoy Meche's donut king cake even though this isn't a traditional king cake but was also looking for other recommendations. So what's your favorite place that ships? TIA

Randazzo's is what I send to folks out of town.

Randazzo is where I get mine every year! Order and ship 2 every year to TN. One for me and one for what ever party we go to.

/\My go-to place for King Cakes. However, you may as well ask for a gumbo recipe and can expect to get a lot of different responses.

I've had Lawrence's, Haydel's, Gambino's,supermarket brands like Rouses, Robert's and other bakeries with names that escape me right now. Never really a bad King Cake, but definitely some better than others.

Last year I had Caluda's king cakes for the first time. Really surprised me. They are connected to the randazzo line somehow (I think maybe an ex-wife).

Their flavors this year look interesting. Flavors of the week

I send my family and business clients Haydels. It's a great product, but they add more extra stuff in the box to give a little more mardi gras bonus for the out of town people.

I order from Calandro's (either Govt St or Perkins). Their Zulu is fantastic.

This or Randazzoo's are the two safest to ship IMO. I agree with you about the extras with haydel's. Not sure why you got downvoted

I don't see what the big deal is about Randazzo's. I've only had their King Cake twice but both times it was dry as hell and not very flavorful.

Because a lot of these type boards are filled with idiots that will downvote anything just for the joy they get out of it.

Now, do your best you malcontents.

I always use Gambino's and have them ship to me in Atlanta. Just ordered 5 to be delivered next week. Always excellent king cakes.

It must’ve been left out on the counter unwrapped for a month or something. Randazzo’s cakes actually seem to get sort of “wet” if it sits in that bag for longer than 3 days.

I do really like Randazzos cream cheese filled.

And for you all considering placing a shipping order, don’t wait until the weekend of mardi grad. They will be sold out at many places, especially Randazzos

Three Brothers has been my go to so I don't have to deal with shipping. Very happy with them.
