I saw Pie opened a location in the Warehouse District. I used to stop by the one in Metairie and thought the place was pretty good. Anybody been?

That's the original location and was open way before the Metairie location. It's ok pizza but doesn't compete with the top places.

Tower of Pizza, in Metairie.

Best pizza in Nola in my opinion.

Domenica, Ancora and Dolce Vita are all pretty good. Under the radar check out Ninos on Carrollton and Brooklyn Pizzeria on Vetsx

Ancora and Domenica...then a huge drop off.

under the radar: la cote sud, crescent pie and sausage (can be hit and miss)

Looks like everyone agrees for the most part. I haven't had Tower since before Katrina. Looks like I need to get over there.

I always thought you were a big Mo's Pizza fan? I know you love eating on the Westbank....

It's a little too deep on the Westbank for me.

It's owned by some Vietnamese folks, for whatever that's worth.

I've never been, though.

I like magazine pizza at the foot of the Pontchartrain expressway.

Not "the best", but a great little spot is Sugar Park on St. Claude. The owners are from New York City and relocated to the Bywater area. It's really god New York style pizza.

Speaking of Domenica, when does the location on Magazine supposed to open?

I gotta try them and Ancora. I like Domenica, pizza Delicious and Brooklyn. The culinary wasteland of the Northshore has Pizza Man - which is pretty good comfort food.

Isn't there a Johnny's on the NS ?

I think Brooklyn is overrated

TigerWise: We got a Johnny's. I have never been as I am loyal to Pizza Man. Brooklyn can be hit or miss; it is perfect for when I am in work coveralls and just want two slices.

The worst I have had in this area is Mo's on the Wank - thick bready crust, sauce tasted like ketchup and tomato paste and low grade mozzarella. I think people like it because of the weight.

That looks great, pence! I need to get over there.

Had dolce last night. Decent crowd!
Had the special R2R had earlier in the week. Needs more pastrami but it's tasty.
