Looking to pick up some filets tonight. Who has the best cut of meats? Nunu’s? Heleaux’s? Earl’s? Veron’s? Other?

I didn’t read OP, I just put 2 meat markets down lol. I’ve never had Nunu’s steaks, just their sausages and boudin.
We only get steaks from Took’s.

do yourself a favor and take the 35 minute drive to teets in ville platte.

I have never been to took's. Might have to check that out. I have a $50 GC to heleaux's.
I have actually been somewhat impressed a few times at the Albertsons on Ambassador since the remodeled.

Sams has the best ribeyes and strips and it’s not even close

Yeah I wouldn't buy steaks from Nunu's.
They have good specialty meats but steak isn't something I would get there. The last 3 times I grilled steaks I got them at Fresh Market and they were really good.

I typically just get mine from Fresh Market because it's the closest. I may have to check out Took's though.

Never been to took’s. Need to check it out.

So I agree with all the recs in here, but the new Super 1's meats on Ambassador is a dark horse candidate.

you looking for prime?
I had an amazing Prime Ribeye from Costco the other day about 2 inches thick
They also have filets, just not sure if they have them available individually
Fresh Market and Whole Foods will also have prime cuts of steak
As will Joey's
Not sure about other stores, that's generally where I go

Never been to Took's so I'll have to check it out.
Whole Foods is a shell of itself since they first opened. Gone are the hanger steaks and tri tips which have been replaced by advertisement in two of the meat cases.
Albertson's is good, especially for large bone in short ribs.
Fresh Market is simply out of my price range for what you get.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Rouses on Johnston. They have good prime steaks and dry aged too.
