Is an AM Mart Cajun Turkey with Pepper Jack combo still under $10?

Looks like Rotolos Craft and Crust does calzone Wednesday still, but it is $8 and is up to 3 toppings :/ Man the old specialty ones were so good in college.

I did see they do this:

quote:

Meatball Monday / 4pm – close
Spaghetti & Meatballs for 2 with a Bottle of Wine $20

Serop's Express does plates where you can mix and match sides, but even the chicken shawarma is considered a side so you're basically building your own plate. They have a lot to choose from. I personally think the baba ganouj, chicken shawarma, and green beans (in tomato sauce) is the perfect meal. It's a little over $8.

Most of the phillies at Philly Me Up are $6.50-$7 for the small and $8.50-$10 for the small. Their food is pretty darn good, too.

There's a few that have crept a bit above $10, but a good bit of Tony's Seafood plate lunches are still under $10 or right at it.

Math for Phil’s seems way off two dozen oysters alone would be 12

That's because I'm a retard and meant to type 1 dozen, 2 beers. You can see where my priorities lie.

I think you can still get a specialty calzone or up to 3 toppings. The trick is to get a supreme and substitute the toppings/fillings.

Used to be Thai Pepper

Now I'd have to go with a plate lunch at Dorothy's or Stockyard Cafe

Triplet Blue Store II on Highland north of LSU, red beans were very good

not sure if all the Blue Store places in BR are part of the same chain? Always wondered that.

calzone Wednesday

There was a time WAAAYYY back in the day when it was $3.99. It slowly went up to $4.99 then $5.99 but it was still a fantastic deal. A calzone and a pitcher of PBR always hit the spot for $10ish.

Phil's $0.50 oysters and $2 draft beer on Mondays is a solid deal. You can have 2 dozen oysters and 2 Ghost in the Machines for $10 before tax/tip.

2 dozen (12 x 2 = 24) x $0.50 = $12.00.

2 beers x $2 per beer = $4.00

$12.00 + $4.00 = $16.00

Matherne's downtown has good cheap lunches too. Their fried catfish is underrated.

If I'm being healthy, I'll grab a container of chicken salad and head of lettuce for wraps. Usually comes out to $5 and I have 90% of a head of lettuce to take home.

Otherwise, the 2 piece fried chicken with potato wedges is $4.99. I think the 3 piece fish with wedges is $5.99.

I think the big entree + 2 sides, roll, and dessert plates are $8.99.
