More of a poll than anything. Personally find Ghost in the Machine and Canebrake really good with Swamp Sting as a good substitute

Depends on what you consider local.

BR doesn’t really put out anything worth a damn but Jucifer is plentiful in BR.

I’m sure I’ll get slammed but I enjoy an ice cold Abita Amber, preferably in an icy mug.

I don’t care for Swamp sting or really any of that brewery’s stuff.

My favorite is Tin roof’s Smilin’ Ivan, but I don’t even know if they made a batch this year.

For Baton Rouge it's something from Tin Roof. Voodoo or Uberfroot. At least until they have some competition from the breweries opening this year.

and what did he say was wrong? There are no great beers that have come out of Tin Roof or Southern Craft. That is a fact.

Yeah, my point was that there are some good beers to be had in BR, but none of them are actually brewed in BR.

Tin Roof's doing good things these days.

This little guy won a gold medal out of 131 entries at GABF. Their specials are also really tasty.

Are they the best brewery in the state? No. But they are leagues better than a few years ago.

Haze Melee would be a nice everyday option if it was available year round. Southern Craft just doesn't put out a beer I want to drink. I keep giving them shots but alas nothing tastes good to me from them

April of last year. It’s better than it used to be for sure but still has a lot of room for improvement IMO.

And the lack of feeling in my crotchal region has no bearing on this discussion, good sir.

Voodoo has become a staple in my fridge. Is Tin Roof is as good as Parish or Gnarley Barley? No, but it’s a better than average brewery these days. The competition on government should be good for everyone.
