I usually get Calandros. Close to my house, and they have ones that are smaller ones which is nice since its just me and the wife.
Growing up, my favorite was from Ralph's in Prairieville. Havent had one in years so I dont know if they're actually any good.

Most definitely Calandro's. Oak Point is good also but not in BR. Still not as good as Calandro's.

I just had one from a place called counterspace, it's a bakery I have never heard of before, it was surprisingly good.

CounterSpace on Jefferson/Old Hammond Hwy is pretty good. Also, Calandro's is good.

Counterspace, and it's really not even close. Better than any King Cake I've had, and I've had all the big names.

I've tried Calandro's a few times over the past several years, and I've been underwhelmed every time.

I don't shop for king cakes in BR but I know they have a Copeland's by the Mall of Louisiana. I love their King Cake flavored cheesecake. You can buy a whole one (not cheap) or by the slice.

Its not from Baton Rouge but Southside Produce carries Canattas king cakes and they are very good

I went by CounterSpace today and picked up one of the few mini plains they had available. Not gonna lie, I ate the entire thing. It was still warm when I got home. It was really good but different than others ive had. Maybe a little more eggy and dense? Definitely worth checking out. The owners are seemed really friendly. I really like that everyone makes a different type of king cake. I will surely try them all
