I am in the market for a high quality blender that can handle everything you put in it.

I want it to handle ice and large bits of dry ingredients as well as whole or half pieces of fruit, and powders and creamy stuff. All the while being able to hold about 60 oz. of foodstuffs aad make about 40 oz of drink.

I saw Ninja seemed to fall into that category, but wanted to get other opinions.

You guys suggested a 500 and 1000 blender!

According to consumer reports the Ninja performed second best to the Vita mix.

I had a Ninja. Worked great until it broke. Got a Vitamix a month ago. Beast mode!

OK. Good to hear this.

I think I'm getting it for Christmas. We'll see.

You can put a brick in a Vitamix and it will make you a milkshake.

The only time I'd need to do that is if I were going to put in a piece of Bay Bread (basically a granola bar in loaf form) into the blender.

Ninja is what you're looking for. Great blender for the price.

Have a vitamix, don't use it as much as I should, it's bad arse, have made soup, ice cream, daqs marinara sauce in it, all easy and good

Ninja Pro. All you'll ever need, unless you are a hardcore juicer.

Pectus, this blender just won a big shootout of like 10 blenders:

Pec, did you ever get a blender?

I was looking at vitamix blenders this morning. There are a lot of different types. I'm curious if the pro 750 is worth it. Looks like you can get one refurbished for a decent price.

I picked up the KitchenAid blender. bout $150. Good reviews and actually performed some things better than the vitamix. That being said, it is no BlendTec or Vitamix...... but, I like it. Makes good smoothies. Watched videos on the net and read a lot of stuff and it is one of the best for the money. The ninja is good, but I know a couple of people with it and it tends to leave chunks down in the bottom.
