Not a fan of Hooters wings. I prefer my smoked, grilled, or BBQ. Don’t like them fried. Who is in your top three ?

GOAT is smoked then flash fried.
ETA: not sure if any restaurants do it this way, but it's how I do them at home.

Bergerons in Port Allen and Gonzales have excellent smoked wings.

TJ Ribs is best. Twin Peaks has smoked wings that are pretty good also.

I love those things. I have to get them every time I'm in BR. Get the sauce on the side.

I heard that they're supposed to open a location in Lafayette. Not sure if that's till in the works but I could drive an hour for those things on special occasions.

Now I want some.

Yep, in Carencro. If I recall correctly, it won’t be until at least next year.

Our marinade on the smoked wings does 97% of the work. I dont find the smoke pellets do too much for the flavor

Duvics used to have the best. They would grill, fry, then grill them again

If you dry brine and then smoke, they end up packed with smoke flavor. A wet marinade might prevent them from taking on smoke flavor.

TJ Ribs are my favorite. Large smoked wings with a great buffalo sauce you can get on the side.
