I never order fried chicken any where, I honestly think Matherne's on Bluebonnet does a damn fine job, and I dig me some spicy Popeye's.

For commercial chicken, the Brookshire's on 165 rocks some spicy recipe.

I went to the Old Country Store in Lorman, Miss., over Memorial Day weekend. Alton Brown said that was the best fried chicken he ever had in his life. It was pretty strong.
I grew up eating Royal Cajun in Marksville. It could use some more seasoning, but that's kind of the yardstick I use to measure fried chicken.

Grandma Marcus - Siloam Baptist Church - Marion, AL - Her covered dish dinner contribution. She also makes boiled cabbage that will knock your socks off.

If you have never been to a small town Baptist Church covered dish supper, I am sorry for you.

I love the spicy chicken from Popeye's but my bro in law swears Ball's Fried Chicken in Lake Charles is awesome. I'd like to try it but I love me some Popeyes!

shite, how did I forget Tujaques? Definitely best of my life. I didn't think about it because it wasn't traditional fried chicken. It wasn't even the same color! But it was amazing.
