I like the Filet. Not too big, not too pricey. The chips they have are the shite for an appetizer.

Ribeye is always bomb. I get that or the porterhouse. Cowboy (bone in) Ribeye is a fav of mine too.

I'm partial to the veal chop. I've had the sweet potato side and it is indeed very good. I like the creamed spinach and the asparagus. Sometimes, I get a potato side and all of them are good. Iit really depends on what you're in the mood for at the time. I usually end up taking most of the sides home. I eat a little with the chop, but if I've had an app, also, no way I eat much of the sides other than the asparagus.

I used to work there

Oscar tournedos are the shite. They also do a crawfish syle tournedo. You can also get that topping on any filet. Cowboy ribeye is the best cut, if they have it. I also like the NY strip au puave (not the au puave sauce, but the cracked peppercorn crust.. you may have to specify this)

Best sides:
Loaded MASHED Potatoes
Seafood AuGratin
Potatoes AuGratin
Sauteed Mushrooms

all winners IMHO.

Creme brulee is also pretty kick arse.

I nearly always get the filet, lettuce wedge and the escargot.

I love the creamed spinach and aspargus sides.

It's hard for me to go to a prime steakhouse and get anything besides a strip. I'll go with an occasional bone-in ribeye. I find ordering a filet somewhere like Ruth's or Fleming's to be an incredible waste.

lyonnaise potatoes
creamed spinach

Berries and cream for dessert.

It does and the steaks don't have green stuff on them before they are cooked!

I used to be a strip guy until I got a hankering for raw steak. Now I'll order the cut they'll serve most rare. Hanger, skirt, filet...whatever they recommend. I think at Ruth's it would be filet. "Rare as they'll send it out"

I'd be happy if they just browned the side facing up, since no one wants to sit next to the guy with raw meat on his plate.
