Those look great! I'll be in Gretna this weekend for some rugby with my son, I'm going to pick some up.

Hole N Da Wall seafood in Port Vincent. I've had them from every place between Lafayette, New Orleans and Hammond and Hole N Da Wall beats them all.

The mountain of Cracklin nachos on the bar menu at Kingfish on Chartres St. ranks up there but I have to stay away from that kind of stuff. The samples they sometimes have out while you wait in line at Mother's are delicious.

Cracklins are easy to make-the ones we have made at home always taste better than the ones I have eaten in stores.

Graton >>> Cracklin

in name or style? I know that a criminally high number of people serve pork rinds and call them cracklin, but this is what proper cracklin/grattons should look like IMO

I wouldn't call it easy. It's time consuming and messy. But I have made some pretty great homemade cracklin

I love them from Hebert's in Opelousas, Southside Grocery on Johnston south of Lafayette, Billeud's 2 in New Iberia, Don's in Scott just to name a few.

It's hard to narrow down 1 place being better than the rest.

I believe these are the same people that own Roux 61. Always wanted to stop and get some just never did.

Yes, Fatty's is the name of their cracklin spot. They are the best that I've had, I wish they were closer.

Holy shite those things were marvelous. I'll hit them up when I'm in the neighborhood again.

I'm a graton kinda guy! Homemade by my uncle are the best. If you ever go to the French food festival in larose, then you should grab a bag!

All that meat and mush is for the birds!

Absolutely! When my mom was still alive and living in Marksville I'd stop in at Juneau's and get some stuff when visiting and always got a bag of cracklins. It was difficult to not eat the whole bag on the three hour drive home.

Headed there next weekend before a Wayne Toups show. Boudin and cracklins are on point.

I picked up a half pound today in Gretna as well. I was out there watching most of the that first Bayou/Katy game before I took off.
