Best burger i have had in Baton Rouge so far has been the voo doo buger with bacon and mushrooms at Voo doo BBQ. I do plan on making it to Masons and Riverside Patty in the near future to compare.

1. Tramonte's (tastes homemade, huge, juicy, topped well)
2. The Times (juicy, great selection, topped well)
3. Riverside Patty (remember to order it medium, or they cook it well)

Maxwell's Market is my favorite. They grind their own meat every morning and then put it on an open flame gas grill. Very tasty and juicy.

Maxwell's Market
this one is juciy w/o being too greasy like raul's. river patty is always a tad more done than i like my burgers. I also like times A LOT. I like Chelsea's bacon cheese burger becuase the bacon is cut as thick as my wrist it seems like...

but they have a tendancy to dry the burger. Ill get a cheeseburger at louie's sometimes cuz i prefer sprouts to lettuce.

I see Baton Rouge doesn't have a Red Robin yet. They have some pretty damn good burgers for a chain.

Well actually we had a Red Robin in Mall of Louisiana...when the mall first opened. It didn't work. This was before they started the big national ad campaign. Might make a go of it now...we'll probably never know.

not mentioned, but my favorite so far (until I try masons and dearmans) is Bistro Byronz.

As someone said brewbachers burger is a sorry excuse for a burger.

They only have one burger but that new Australlian joint on Coursey called Dingo's has a great burger. You can have an egg added to it which ones you put the bun on the yolk runs all down the burger. I talked to the who I think is the owner (had the Australlian accent) he said that is how they do their burgers but they usually add beats to it as well. He did not think that part would take well here though. Had it a few weeks ago and it was one of the best burger I have had.

Dingo's and Bistro Byronz makes good burgers, but for me the absolute best is at Mason's Grill. The shrimp burger is phenomenal and their bun is great.

Mason's gets my vote

Based upon this thread, I want to try Masons. Where is it?

Normally, when I'm in B.R., and want a sandwich, I go to Pasttime. Since that hasn't even been mentioned, I assume the food has declined.
