Not anymore, they changed their patty, it's not hand made anymore. I work in Port Allen, and used to eat their at least twice a week, but the last couple of times we went there, the pattys were thin and the burgers were dry as hell.

Brewbachers (On DRUCILLA) is the most consistent and are always good, but then again everything on their menu is good IMO.

However, I have to say that I have had some stellar burgers at the Times. The other day, I had a kickin burger with a fried egg on top done perfectly and very juicy.

The "Royal Red Robin Burger"...my favorite. I see Baton Rouge doesn't have a Red Robin yet. They have some pretty damn good burgers for a chain.

As a person who loves burgers I must point out...

Sloppy and greasy do not put you in the best category. Riverside kills their burgers because they cant seem to buy quality bread that stays together after all the mayo and mustard.

Rauls is probably the best greasy burger out there because like Raul used to tell me in college, he makes it "juicy juicy just like a pussy." No lie. Meet this man. You wont doubt it.

Best burger overall is from Times called a Cajun Sunset. I just wish it was twice as good. Although, I may have to give this Masons a try.

Downtown Seafood also has a beast of a burger. I'd probably nominate that one.

I got the burger the only time I've ever been to Superior while I was in BR, mainly because of F&D on this website, it had great grilled/smoky flavor, but was kinda dry and nothing was offered in the way of mayo, mustard, roasted peppers, ect to enhance the flavor of the burger.

But I guess that's what one gets for ordering a burger at a Tex-Mex place known for it's overpriced margaritas than anything else.

Can't believe all the brewbacher's love. I find their burger dry and bland. My favorite burger in BR is the dollar burger at Lakeside Daquari. Only downside is you can only get them on Wednesdays.

Everyone keeps talking about Raouls or riverside or akasha behind Freds....

1 - Raouls/riverside are the same thing. fried greasy burgers that will make you stink like grease the rest of the day

2 - Akasha is good, but still very greasy.

The place to go is Dearmans in Bocage (corporate and jefferson) This place has the best burger by far in town. and you can get a great chocolate shake!

1. Bergerons in Port Allen (Hwy. 415). Meat market fresh ground beef.
2. Times Grill
3. Dixie Maid.

Ida as Tony said use to be good at one time.
