Best boudin on Scott exit not Billy’s?

Father n law is on Kinder and I thought he was taking 165 through Alexandria back to North Alabama but it turns out he is heading south and hitting 10. I really like Billy’s but he is impatient and is going to wait in line for 30 plus minutes. Only other two I’ve tried is Best Sop and Dons. Really like Best stop but it’s probably been ten years since having it. Used to like Dons. But tried it several different time a few years back and it was full of fat and gristle. Never had Kartchners or Earlys. Thanks!

Best Stop or Kartchners if he wants other foodstuffs

If you really want to sway from the touristy shite...ride down to Duson exit and hit up Rascals located in gas station just off interstate...then head south, take a left on Fieldspan and ride down to Menards

Both of these places have great boudin, but the larger places near the Scott exit do not sell "touristy shite" food.

Kartchners smoked boudin is top shelf. It won't disappoint.

Don't go to Earlys. You'll be waiting a long, long time.

Billy's opened a new store in Lafayette just north of 10 off 49 way less crowded than the Scott store and only about 8 miles away.
Can't go wrong with Best Stop, heck get some of both ;)

Sadly gone, to me it was the best. However, NuNu's bought it and I prefer NuNu's over all the others in Scott.

Exit 97 is a gold mine for specialty meats. If you have time, bring an ice chest, hit 'em all, and load up.

Thank you and Barbapapa! We were staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel next to Don's and were tired after a long drive. So we purchased some boudin and it was good. I'll add these two places to check out next year.
