Black Penney is a very cool place.

What ever bars get a keg of Ghost are the ones that should be on the list.

Black Penny is a hidden gem. I've seen bottles there I didn't even know were available in NOLA.

Well for one I am not from New Orleans so when I go I hit Avenue, Courtyard, Steins, and Nola.... now Urban South and Second Line are in the mix.

It is in an almost 300 year old building. So is Bar Tonique which has great cocktails and it just a few blocks away on Rampart.

BBG's selection is ok but it's a damn good place to watch a Saints away game.

now Urban South

I had Charming Wit (their white ale) last night and it was one of the worst beers I've had in a looooong time.

The new back bar at Cooter Brown's is impressive. The new ownership has done wonders for that place in general.

It's greatly improved for sure.

Might as well throw in World of Beer in Metry or Lagers. They're closer. And Ale on Oak is garbage.
