(I always order the same thing from all BBQ places. Three meat plate Ribs Pulled Pork and Brisket with two sides. Sausage and bread with a coke.)
Tyler's in Amarillo,TX
Louie Miller in Taylor,TX
and I had the Joint on Poland ave in Bywater today, and it was damn good.
Up there for sure, but definitely a dive.

Were you drunk or are you joking?
Rippy's isn't even the best BBQ on that block.

Kreuz's was by far the best I've had.

And I ate there when 'Big Daddy' Bishop was still alive.

Truer words have never been spoken. I haven't been so disappointed since I found out ice cream cones were hollow.

The correct answer is Franklin's BBQ in Austin, best brisket ever, two hour lines daily for months and months until expanded smoker, now one hour lines. City Market in Luling is a close second and all the Lockhart BBQ joints can bring it, just not as consistent across the board. Bon Appétit named Franklins best in the world, started out in a trailer two years ago.

Might sound crazy but Phil's market in Hammond has the best Pulled Pork and Brisket sandwich I and other people I work with have ever eaten.
Def worth trying if you are in the area

best pulled pork = Wilson's Barbeque, Albertville, AL

Kreuz's in Lockhart. Shoulder clod and the best God damned sausage on the planet.
I've yet to try Smitty's, but it's the same family so I trust it's as good as people say...haven't gone back to the old building since Kreuz's moved out and went down the street.

Big Daddy didn't serve sides. Ribs and white bread only. So try again.

Sorry, crimsonsaint, but I've eaten at the original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa and it sucks beyond belief. I can honestly say that I've had better ribs at Ruby Tuesday's.
