Would like to see your top 5 choices for Baton Rouge restaurants 2018. This used to be a yearly thread and have not seen one this year.

1. DiGuilios Bros
2. Ruth’s Chris
3. Gino’s
4. Mansurs
5. Ruffinos

I know I’ll get lots of grief for a couple of those choices, but I choose the places that the wife and I enjoy frequenting for dinner dates in the red stick. I’m biased towards Italian and steak!

I’ve heard that Maison Lacour? Is the cream of the crop. Would love to try them

Ruffino's, really? I've heaerd the pizza is ok. Nothing I've had there was better than 'uh, okay'.

In no particular order:
Mansur's
Maison Lacour
City Pork (has improved of late)
Juban's
Stroube's

I didnt want to start a thread on this, but is Drusilla Seafood still any good? I saw where 225 best eats had a promotion for them.

Roberto's is in St. Gabriel, but I still consider that a BR restaurant that's near the top of my list.

Maison Lacour
City Pork (Jefferson)
Cocha
Mansurs
Nino’s
French Market Bistro
Kalurah

Casual honorable mentions: Zorba's, Rocca, and Overpass Merchant to round out my now annoyingly long list of 10.

Best overall? Like inclusive of food, drinks, atmosphere, etc. If I could only visit 5 restaurants again in BR, it would be these

1. Chimes
2. K St. Grill
3. Nino's
4. City Pork
5. Mansurs

Also considered Cocha and Ruffino's. Haven't been to Maison Lacour, and I probably haven't been to Robertos since I was in High School or younger.

Hard to pick just 5 without more specific criteria... but here goes...

Chimes
Zorba's
Ruffino's
Doe's
Olive or Twist

I need to go back to Zorba's... it's been a while.

Yup.... huge fan of Ninos. Hard to beat a Friday night during football season at Ruffinos.

Also..... boil and roux #1, really? At coursey/Sherwood? I cook better food 3Xs a week at my house and would get better service from a group of kindergarteners. I’ve given it enough chances.....

Ninos
Ruffinos
Maison Lacour
K St Grill
Digiulio Bros

Also enjoy regularly:
Overpass, little village, city pork and chimes on campus for what it is, I don’t care for chimes east. Gino’s is great, for some reason we just don’t make it there often.
When my MIL is in town, she loves going to Pinettas.

Same. Plus Beausoleil and Marcello's.

I could interchange Umami with any of the above. Merchant isn't far behind.

I've been underwhelmed the last couple of times I've gone. Then again, it's been a while. Might be time to give them another go.
