Lots of good suggestions in here but try Taco Deli and make the trip out to Driftwood for Salt Lick. The wait could be a bit but it's BYOB so bring a cooler and it won't be too bad. You should also probably suck it up and wake up and wait for Franklins before you leave. It's damn good and everyone will ask you about it and if you don't go you will be left wondering

Also try Gourdoughs by S Congress on 1st. The food is completely over the top and terrible for you but its a unique place. Don't eat lunch that day

Definitely all three of these. I assume Kerby Street Cafe you mean Kerbey Lane. Kerbey Lane is clutch for late night food since it's 24 hrs. There's like 5 in Austin

Only people from Pflugerville eat at Kerbey Lane anymore.

Been to all three. I found the food be overrated. People go there for the atmosphere.

Here's what I recommend to the OP and all first timer foodies visiting Austin:

BBQ - La Barbeque (Get the moist brisket!)

Tacos - Torchy's

Burgers - Hopdoddy

Late night - Magnolia Cafe

Sandwiches - Noble Pig

Pizza - Via 313 (for thick crust)
Little Deli (for thin crust)

Brunch - Moonshine

Some good recommendations. I'd try Juan in a Million too for a Sunday type breakfast

Never been unhappy at Magnolia Cafe. Quirky but good.

Was in Austin a couple weeks ago. Had Qui and Franklin, and some morning breakfast tacos on like 6th and brazos? Taco something. Was pretty good for breakfast before a 4 hour franklin wait

Enjoyed the feel of the city

I second the Noble Pig. If you want a good fast lunch try Verts.

Quality Seafood on Airport blvd. is good, and after you can go drink at barfly's.

Went to Kerby's today. It was alright, reminded me of Louie's back at LSU.

I'm about to compile a list and branch out. A lot of the places I've been to are local but also conveniently in walking distance.
