I only buy from Tonys. They are exactly the same every time you buy and have been for 30 years. Seasoned well and always peel.

Haha ... I boiled crawfish there in the summer when I was in high school. Of course that was nearly 30 years ago.

Tony's. Consistent with great flavor but the clincher for me is how they peel and how the fat stays on the tail.

@LSUsmartass, picked up 20 pounds of crawdads and 2 pounds of shrimp from Randy Montalbano's last night. They were the best "boiled" I have had in BR. They are no doubt better than Tony's which has always been our go-to. Girlfriend liked them as well. Preciate the suggestion. My next stop I am going to try the place on Coursey I have been hearing about.

He has to be a yankee. My dad, who is from New Jersey, calls them "craw dads" or "mud bugs".

The absolute, hands down, unquestionable best in town is Randy Montalbano's on Florida. Please don't listen to any other suggestions. You're welcome.

Would have agreed with you until I picked some up this past Saturday. Nice size but just bland and hot from using liquid crab boil. Very disappointing.

Also the sausage they use is probably the worst in town. Like a flavorless hot dog.

Crazy. I used to get them from there over 10 years ago and they were surprisingly good and cheap. I never thought a little corner store would do a good job with crawfish. It's cool to see that they are still doing it.

I would like to retract my statement. Bought about 30 pounds last night from Montalbano's and they were excellent. Didn't bother with sausage because that just is what it is, but crawfish, corn, and potatoes were all very good.
