Take 2 eggs from the fridge, put them in air fryer for 10 minutes on 300 for perfect soft boiled eggs

How did I live without this? I've probably eaten a dozen boiled eggs since and we literally show this trick to every one of our friends who come over and they are also blown away after trying one.

Mind blown. So much less hassle than boiling a dozen eggs and all that nonsense especially when you just need one or 2 for a salad or something.

Even threw away the little microwave egg thing because this is easier and foolproof.

Here i was thinking the air fryer was just a glorified microwave for chicken nuggets and fries.

Always learning something new on here...

I can fix 6 or 7 in the smaller air fryer we have. It also cuts down on the smell of boiling eggs, since scents tend to linger in our older house. I take the air fryer out to the covered deck and plug it in, do 12 minutes and then take the basket out to let them start to cool, and have them ready for the week. We don't air fry that much since it is small, but for things like this it is way better than boiling. And I've only had a few crack open doing it this way. It seems like every time I tried to boil them, one or two would split and make a mess in the pot.

I watched woman cook a perfect poached egg in the microwave yesterday. She warmed about a 1/4 cup of water in the microwave for about 30 seconds. She poured the egg into the water, poked the yolk with a toothpick to keep it from exploding, covered the measuring cup of water with a coffee filter and cooked it for 30 seconds. Nice runny poached egg. She made the hollandaise in a food processor like you'd do when you make blender hollandaise. I use my immersion blender.

I thought those things were like glorified crock pots…until I put a pack of cocktails weenies in there at 450 for 10 minutes. There was no color or meaty texture left. Just turned it into coal.

My oven has an air fryer setting and it doesn’t make sense to me. So you’re not supposed to preheat the oven/airfryer???

An air fryer is simply a convection oven. Usually a convection toaster oven.
Heating element + circulation fan.
It's really simple.
