Planning on going for lunch/dinner Fri/Sat, and since apparently dinner is available at lunch, what would y'all recommend? Tending towards the 18 nigiri but open to suggestions.

Seafood udon noodle soup is fantastic, as is the hamachi crudo. The restaurant puts out excellent food.

I've never had anything there that I didn't enjoy. I don't have any specific recs bc it's all really good
Talked to a Japanese guy (like from Japan, not Japanese-American) and he told me it's by far the best Japanese place in BR

The beef tartare in the bone marrow on the specials sheet is the best dish in BR. Everything they do is amazing though. Don't get your normal blah sushi. Get their specialty items.

My last visit to Umami. That photo towards the end that has all the nigiri with the square on top.. it’s seared foie gras on top and it’s incredible. Do the chef’s tasting menu :)

Whatever the weekly specials are will be top-notch. If they have whole aji (or any other whole fish), get it.

Best in town. The lady and I go regularly. We always get a bunch of shareable and end with a ransom of nigiri.
Best fish in town, ask the chef what's new.

Get items off the daily list. Beef tartar app is money.
Hangover ramen is a waste of a dish imo. Its huge and you don't get the full range of what the place offers

I really enjoyed the sushi there. The hangover Ramen is delicious as well. You really can't go wrong. Just pick what looks good to you.

I finally got this after my 10th or so time to try it. I wish i would have gotten the other stuff i normally get.

The Uni Rice is my 2nd favorite dish there behind the Beef Tartar. You need to get dat.

Did the same thing. Ordered it because of what everyone says. Took 1 bite and asked for a container, and proceeded to get the good stuff.
In the defense of their ramen, I am finding that I don't think I like ramen in general. Always tastes like watered down soup to me.
