I think Company Burger is overrated as hell. Tasty, but not nearly enough burger for what you pay for. I like Tru Burger more than Company.
High Hat is the best burger I've had in either city, followed by Cowbell and Akasha in BR.

Fat Cow was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The meat tasted like rubber.

The best food to be had in BR is at Tiger Stadium on game day

Nah brah that shite stopped being worth anyone's time about 2 years ago, I do not give a single shite about the clown shoes posting over there (I saw the thread, I chose to ignore it even though it was inaccurate, but I appreciate your posts in it fyi). Time to move on.

The best burger I've had in New Orleans was from Checkpoint Charlie's. I also like Bud's Broiler, but that's more like fast food. Roul's has the best burger I've ever had.

Not to be a dick, but you need to expand your horizons. My last burger at checkpoint Charlie's literally disintegrated in my hands. Buds is a nostalgic favorite but doesn't deserve to be in the discussion. THere are about a dozen new places in BR and NOLA that you need to try.

No. And I love Curbside.
that
I dont get why BR folks cannot accept that NOLA has better fricking food options
are ya'll really that fricking delusional? This is a food city. BR is not.

Who disputes that? This is a burger thread. And if you read this thread it's clear everyone has their own burger taste and any city in the country can make a decent one.

I love a good curbside burger, mason's burger or a burger grilled on my Weber kettle in my backyard in BR, but NO has Port of Call and, therefore, imho, has the best burger. Hands down.
Posted on 8/24/12 at 12:34 pm to SuzyBishop
I agree the Port of Call burger not getting enough love up in hera
Posted on 8/24/12 at 12:34 pm to SuzyBishop
Curbside burgers even taste better when they are down here in NOLA.

Its a damn hamburger. Jesus
Doesnt take a master chef to make
People in this thread need to step back and look at what youre arguing about. A hamburger. You know, the thing everyone has cooked a number of times in their own homes and have probably enjoyed it just as much as the places mentioned in this thread. This isnt some fancy dish that is foreign to south LA.

I agree with this. In BR: I still need to try Akasha, Curbside (I can never seem be in the right place to catch that damn truck
As far as Nola is concerned, I don't really want a burger when I'm in New Orleans. That would be like ordering Chinese food in Florence. When I'm in New Orleans (3-4 weekends a year), I tend to go seafood, muffaletta, serious creole stuff, or po'boy. I go to New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Co. a lot when I'm in Meterie or Laplace, but I tend to get the roast beef or fried fish. When in NOLA, I'd just rather eat at Parkway or Liuzza's than track down a great burger.
Also, thank you for actually knowing what Checkpoint Charlie's is.
