Am I the only one that thinks you guys overrate this place a little bit?

I like Magasin a lot better.

Lilly's is okay, but not exactly fantastic. I find Magasin to be a bit "dumbed down" in menu choices and flavors. IOW, the salad plate accompanying the pho is rather pared down, and the garnishes and details are fairly simplified.

Has anyone been to Pho Bistreaux at the corner of Oak and Carrollton?

The only thing Magasin does better than Lilly's, IMO, is their curry .. which Lilly's doesn't even have. Lilly's broth, spring rolls and especially their grilled pork bun w/ fried egg (my favorite viet dish) is better.

Not to say Magasin isn't good stuff, now.

The kimchee fries at Ba Chi were tasty, but what's not to like about thin, crispy potatoes topped with a mound of spicy, crunchy, tangy stuff?

Pho Bistreaux is a tidy little place with very reasonable pricing. Have only done takeout, need to go dine in.

I went during the soft opening when they had the service problems. Went for lunch a month ago and the issues were taken care of as expected. Place is fantastic. Enjoy!

Must order the spicy lemongrass chicken wings!!

Looks like one already had a bite out of it. Still yet to try this place. How is the crowd?

It did, nearly forgot to take a pic.

Crowd was good, no wait. Our server never came back after bringing our food. Took us a while to get the check. Not a problem just weird.

Food is amazing. Give it a shot Wise.

I've been 3 times. It is a good place.

The bacos are fun. The pork belly one and the coconut curry chicken are both great.

Might be a dumb question but what's the difference between bacos and what momfuku calls buns ?

My 3rd time too.

This was my first time ordering just bacos. Not a bad way to eat there. I hope they are doing well. I haven't been for dinner since the soft opening.
