A New Orleans legacy bar, family owned since 1987 as The Avenue Pub. Fabulous location on a corner lot on St. Charles Avenue in the Lower Garden District, this neighborhood bar has been beautifully maintained and is full of New Orleans charm and character. Fresh paint, a fabulous courtyard, and a beautiful balcony on the parade route. Sale includes all equipment, inventory and LLC. The lot at 1537 Polymnia can be sold for $495,000 for parking. Zoned MU1. Own a popular New Orleans institution!

Let's all pitch in to come up with the 1.6 Million and get it!
Man a professional real estate photographer sure can make a big difference!
But for real, Polly did do a great job with the up keep.

Professional photos do work, I last went in 2018 and no way was it that clean. Unless she cleaned it up real nice due to covid

Hopefully whomever is buying it is not a psychopath.

I haven’t been since I read her weird political disclaimer on top of the menu. That was enough for me. I just want to have a beer. I don’t need all the other bullshite

I figured the price would be higher

Per Polly, she is retiring soon and wanted it to stay in good hands.

Its probably Mason Hereford that bought it and you're going to need to wear a full hazmat suit and pledge your allegiance to the hammer and sickle to get in

Polly did well, but time for a change.
Avenue Pub at its best was a great whiskey/beer bar with a slightly elevated bar food menu where locals could hang at 1 pm or 1 am, and still at feel home. Its been none of that since COVID. Hoping for a new owner to try and get that back, but sure im not sure it will happen.

What's it like these days? I haven't been since before Covid.
I'm assuming all the breweries opening up the last four or five years has contributed to the pubs decline somewhat.
And Polly really didn't need to kiss LaToya's arse as much as she did.

Just my opinion...they were slow to open back up which I understand, but when they did they changed the entire business model and tried to turn it into more of a sit down restaurant, for a long time you could only order food with waiters/full table service.
Also, now very inconsistent and much shorter hours of operations, upstairs only open for private events (so no evening balcony access), less beers on tap. I understand the days of being open 24/7 are likely over, but it just doesn't feel like the same place I loved.
