We are heading to Austin this weekend for The Black Crowes concert. Three guys in mid 30s. Casual fare with good drink selection is all we need. Are Moonshine and Lambert's still worth checking out?

I’m going too. Hoping against hope they won’t cancel it in the next couple of days. They’re playing in Dallas tonight but it is Austin…….
I’m going to Pappasitos pre-show because Louisiana Mexican food make me sad

Check out CM Smokehouse in Bouldin Acres. Its a couple of food trucks that have indoor service at a beer garden.

I've never thought Moonshine was all that great. It's not bad, but there are far better places.

I used to love Lambert's. Last time I went was a couple years ago and the quality had gone down a little.

Check out any of the Easy Tiger locations for some good beer and good food. Seems like just what you are looking for.

If you want to experience a place where locals go, go to Draught House - it's an irish pub in the middle of a neighborhood. Plenty of outdoor seating.

BBQ - Any of these will do and wait shouldn't be too long
- Stile's Switch
- Mickelthwait
- Terry Blacks - (may have a wait)
- Valentinas - (will have a wait but is worth it)

Pinthouse Pizza - lots of great beer and good pizza

Was just there last week. 1618 was the best meal we had. Be sure to get the flambé cheesecake. The Smoky Old Fashioned is a great cocktail.

Pro tip: If you happen to pass through Ellinger, be sure to stop at Hruska's and get some baked goods.

Valentina’s is very good bbq. 24hr diner is awesome late night stuff. Pinthouse Pizza has great beer…. Electric Jellyfish if you’re an IPA fan.

I also enjoy Odd Duck, The Peached Tortilla and uchiko

This statement makes me sad. Why go to a huge chain when you can go to Licha's or Curras?

I could do better than Pappasitos but I miss it. It’s overpriced but predictable and miles better than any place around here

I always recommend Terry Black’s when Austin threads come up.
