Hi, going to Austin couple days for work. Need dinner at a nice place one night and then a couple casual lunch spots. With food quality being most important. Big foodies. Thanks

Perla’s was so good we went.
Soto or Uchi(ko) for japanese if you like that
Odd duck was great for dinner when we went to, but I hear great things about their brunch.

Order Franklin BBQ for pickup and skip the ridiculous line.

Where are you staying? I assume around downtown.
Emmer and Rye is probably the best restaurant in the city. Highly recommend for a nice dinner.
Kemuri Tatsu-Ya does wonderful Japanese-Texan fusion food. I think they are doing an omakase style menu now.
Lenoir has a wine garden and good food.
Olamaie is a nice southern restaurant.
Comedor and Suerte are high end Mexican places. Both are good.
My favorite casual spots:
Better Half
Peached Tortilla/Bar Peached (different restaurants, same owner)
Swedish Hill
Ramen Tatsu Ya
Launderette
Clarks

Uchi
Odd Duck
Bangers
Pick any of the popular BBQ places. They're all good.

Emmer and Rye is fantastic. Same for Odd Duck.
Barley Swine has a great 10 course tasting menu, if you are looking for something like that.

I’ll also put my vote in for red ash. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there.

Did you already make the trip? Any updates?
