I'm sure I'm in the minority but it was one of the most overrated things I had with all the hype everyone made it out to be.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't hate it or anything but I def wouldn't go out my way to ever order it again.

I never get it. I'm not the biggest fan of eating a gallon of almost boiling soup

Vermicelli bowl ftw

Well, you have to tell us where you got it so we can say that was a bad choice and a terrible representation of Pho.

There's nothing like a big bowl of soup on a hot summer day!

Was pho supposed to be something magical on here?

I mean it's just a Vietnamese dish like anything else. I don't have a strong opinion either way, I just order it when I have a cold or I'm in the mood for something very aromatic.

Johnny's Pizza by the yankees of LA.

At least pho can actually be good.

I prefer their spicy beef noodle soup(Bun Bo Hue) over their pho, maybe give that a shot next time, much more flavorful. Their pork belly sliders and short ribs are pretty good too.

Made a big pot for gumbo for a birthday party yesterday. Heat index was near 100 All the guests loved it surprisingly, but didn't spend much time outside.

For me, Pho varies from place to place more than almost anything.

I love Pho, but admit that some is fantastic and others are...not.

Vietnamese food/flavors are some of my favorite things on the planet, but pho doesn't move the needle for me.

If you eat it as presented to you, it is mediocre at best. When it becomes magical is when you add the correct proportions of hoisin, siracha, and lime juice. Also, you must eat it with two hands. One hand has to put the noodles/toppings in your mouth while the other hand scoops broth and delivers to the mouth full of noodles.
