not the same imo.
when you walk into mcdonalds or burger king, you know exactly what youre getting. trash
if i go to a bar with friends and the beer selection is shitty, im not just going to sit there and not drink because they dont have a craft beer selection

Name me one bar that serves nothing but BMC.

HELLLLLLLLLLLL no

i didnt mean a bar that only serves those big 3. i meant a place you go in and a newcastle is considered the upper of the imports.

Newcastle > BMC
or just order a fricking mixed drink. why drink something that tastes like shite AND takes 12 of them to get you drunk?

I'm likely older than you (35) and married with a couple of kids, so if I'm going to a bar, it's gonna be one with a good craft beer selection. I've got a better beer selection at my house than all but one bar in Baton Rouge, so I'd rather drink at home anyway.

i agree and i would order that. i just would have no problem drinking a bud light if the best option in the place is a newcastle

i dont drink mixed drinks

this shouldnt be a factor on whether you drink it or not because plenty of craft beers arent very strong and take quite a few to get you drunk

Unabashed beer snob here. Pliny or bust.

We have a "snob". A Bud Light tastes fine and gets the job done. If it takes you 12 then other issues are present. Try Platinum. It is a 6% beer.
Is it my go-to beer? Of course not but I will drink it. It is essentially an American "session beer". There is a beer snob term for you. You can't pound Stone Ruinations at a crawfish boil all day.

That's why they make whiskey

No, it doesn't
It tastes like piss and I'll drink water if BMC is the only option

im 30 and dont have responsibilities like that so a night out drinking is probably way more common for me than you. if i end up at a bar that sucks and the selection sucks, oh well i can go out the next night to my usual spot and all is well. probably cant do that with kids so i get that you going out is more of an "event". not trying to offend you at all with that last comment.

goes back to having a family and way more responsibilities than me. i could go buy some great beer and sit on my couch and drink and appreciate what im drinking but i enjoy going to my cheers bar and shooting the shite with my friends behind the bar and the regulars that i have become friends with

So how do you get your hands to stop shaking?

Yes. People who try to justify drinking Bud Light or Coors Light or the like by saying anything other than .. "hey man, I just don't like good beer" is a closed-minded, sad individual.
I equate them to adults who still order burgers with "meat and cheese only."

Screw you. I drink Bud and i'm sure my mind is as open as yours. Which ain't saying much.

None taken. As much as I'd love to go hit the Bulldog or the Cove 4 times a week, that's just not a reality for me. So I enjoy a few sitting on my back patio with the wife while watching the kids play and have a good time. So yeah, getting out to a bar for me is an "event," because I don't do it that often.

No, but you can drink Stone Levitations all day.

Not a beer snob but I frickin hate bud light. I'm more of a recreational drinker, but I am going to a beer tasting tomorrow. Drinking early today, I call it football practice.

I don't care what you drink as long as you don't give me a hassle about wanting craft beer. I have been known to take my own beer to functions where there is a free open bar but with just Bud, Miller, etc. I will drink Dos XX or Shiner at a bar or restaurant when nothing better is available.
