A smash burger at home, even on an electric griddle is hard to mess up, and a lot cheaper.

Downtown Seafood had a solid burger last I was there.
Owner makes patties fresh each morning.

Seafood was very good also.

My favorite in the BR area is in Dutchtown at Griffin Grill.

In BR I like Georges on Perkins but i'll admit its been years since i've been. I don't go to BR much anymore.

It must be a really long time. George’s on Perkins has been closed since 2020.

Their burgers actually are really good, but like everything else there it’s expensive.

Goodwood Grill, The Gregory inside the Watermark hotel and Mid-City Beer Garden all have good burgers.

Baton Rouge's best burger disappeared when the Caterie burned.

I mean, do other cities make better burgers than Baton Rouge? According to this board, BR has no burgers, pizza, Cajun food, Korean BBQ, real Mexican, what else?

does BR have Korean BBQ? also who gives a frick about real mexican when you have Zippy’s?

Someone posted about Korean BBQ opening in the old Copeland’s so we probably have that coming.

And I’ll take the Mexican food trucks all along Florida over Zippys any day.

I don't know why this place is so overlooked in BR. The burgers and the flatbreads are great.
