A nice big koi could be worth several hundred dollars, depending on species. IN Japan, some go for thousands of dollars. Look up the species you have before attempting to eat any. We had them before and all of ours were named and like members of the family. Has been thirty years and the koi pound we dug is still on that property. Hopefully with our original koi still in it. They can live a long time.
