I've had it. It's just weird with the cinnamon, cheese, onion and noodle combo. Would be great with no cinnamon and noodles...and on top of a hot dog.
Now what Ohio really does well is Graeter's ice cream - black raspberry chocolate chip is Top 3 scoops I've ever head.

Way different. As said it's almost a greek gravy/tomato sauce that they put on Spaghetti then cover in mounds of onions and cheese.
The onions and cheese are the best part of the dish and it's probably why they add so much

I bought some seasoning packets to make it several years ago. When I saw the ingredients and smelled it, I knew it wasn't for me.

I’ve never dumped my normal chili I cook over noodles and even then that’s a bizarre way to eat chili. I absolutely can’t stand that cinnamon, allspice, and clove taste in my chili though. They ruin perfectly good chili seasoning it like that.

Wow: the double post. Not sure how that happened but it’s a sign that Skyline Chili sucks twice as bad as I remember it.

Aside from rolls and gum, I can't think of anything else I really like cinnamon in.

Had it in Cincinnati. Ok on a chili dog. Sucks on it’s own.

Steak N Shake has it on their menu. I've had it there before. Not my favorite form of chili, but it is edible.

They sell cans of Skyline at Winn-Dixie if anyone wants to try them. Expensive as hell though $6+ for a can.

Lol. Yes. It’s not chili. It’s Cincinnati chili. It’s a meat sauce flavored with Mediterranean spices. It’s fine if not everyone likes it. But there are definitely a whole lot of people who say they don’t like it but who do like it when the same meat and spices are combined in another fashion and called by a different name. The reference to pastitsio above was right on. Similar flavors are used in moussaka and any number of other dishes from the region. Spicy meat sauce served with pasta (or sausage) and cheese. Nothing wrong with that.
