Or otherwise

I can find a hundred articles going for and against honey.

My take - I don't need it, so why bother.

Can definitely find articles showing both ways.

I will take a naturally occurring food over a processed one any day of the week. Much rather that chance, in this situation.

Besides that:
Estimated fructose amounts in the following items:
Soda: 35g
Apple: 12g
Banana: 7g
1 tbsp. Honey: 7g

Fructose has been linked to cancer. Like I said, I will take my chances with the naturally occurring foods

I don't understand the appeal of these "diets". Make a sustainable well balanced diet and form good habits. You can lose all the weight in the world but until you have created a sustainable new lifestyle you will just live in periods of momentary fat loss

Try Stevia. You won't miss Splenda.

I have. I hate it. Even long term. Something just doesn't taste right. I actually prefer Splenda to sugar.

I use stevia in the raw, but I agree. Something about splenda is just better. I still sneak a pack every now and then.

I can use stevia to sweeten food (like whipped cream), but I have to have Splenda for coffee. Stevia doesn't taste right.

They used to talk about it causing a spike. Stevia too.

I don't know what y'all are talking about with Stevia though. It's sweet. lmao
It may just not be as sweet as Splenda. I guess that's what's throwing y'all off.

Coconut milk. I get it down, but I can't say I enjoy it all that much.

It's like...I don't know how to describe it. It isn't sweet at all when the coffee is in my mouth, but there's the idea that something sweet was in my mouth after I swallow.

There was no better way to word that.

I don't adhere to zero sugar, but I do eat a low-sugar diet. I typically keep my sugar intake to <30g/day. Other than that I eat a high-protein, moderate carb and fat diet. 40% protein/30% carb/30% fat.

Pretty easy diet, honestly. Flexible dieting.

The true enemy is sugar and processed carbs. Most (not all) of my carbs come in the form of tubers, winter squashes, and lentils. Most naturally-occurring carbohydrates and sugars (re: fruits) also have fiber, which will slow down the absorption rate...particularly raspberries and blackberries. It's still not a good idea to eat a ton of fruits, but a moderate amount of fruit can be beneficial. For example, a couple of servings of raspberries gives you more fiber than sugar, plus all of the other antioxidants and vitamins that they offer.

Processed carbs, like white bread, break down so fast and offer such little fiber, you may as well be drinking a soda.

I also am not afraid of 'fake sugar', like stevia and erythritol. Those things may very well be bad for me, but right now there's not much good research indicating so.

I can see that.
I'm so used to having it black, when I do have it on the weekend or something, it works well.

Come to think of it, it's been years since I've had coffee with cream & sugar.

I drink mine with stevia or Splenda

Sometimes I'll throw in some almond/coconut milk. It gets the job done

It's far from clear that a modern day apple is "naturally occurring".
