I can't really drive these days, so I haven't been able to listen to Tom for a long time. Apparently, he's still on the air. Some things never change, I guess.

I have not listened to him in a long time. Reading this thread over the weeks has made me laugh. Today I hopped in my car and he was on. Yes, I was over analyzing everything he said on the questions he was being asked bc of this thread.
I’ll be GD if he did not hit the wrong button to cut to the news and apologized to the caller who was a first time caller who asked about Roast beef PO boys. Was like he did not know how to answer. Then as he was answering he was about to say one restaurant but said another. Hell he is the food guru, ??!!! I got out of my car before he came back.
He Needs to be replaced.

That was a very odd call. The show was really awkward today. He seemed flummoxed with every single caller.

Would they care? Tom is already on some BFE station 5 days out of the week, so he’s not really taking up valuable space. I think everything else on that station is syndicated. Plus, doesn’t he pay for his own airtime via his advertising?
I think they just allow him to keep showing up because they feel sorry for him.

Today someone gave Tom one of those Snickers bars that says “basic” instead of “snickers” on the wrapper. Despite the identical coloring and font and the fact that he actually ate the item, he was unable to identify that it was a Snickers. An employee of Mars had to call and explain it to him.
Imagine his confusion if he ever had one of the Cokes that said “David” or something.

My favorite calls occurred a few years ago. One guy, probably one of you jokers, called in a serious tone and asked about Ponchos. TF had a meltdown.
Another called in about a restaurant located in one of the casinos. TF went on a rant about how he would never discuss a restaurant after the city betrayed the public by going back on a promise to not have dining places inside a casino. He was PO'ed.
