I just got a jar of this given to me. What do you like to use it for? I think I'm going to try making PB pancakes.

They press the peanuts and get all the oil out, then dry and pulverize whats left. You can mix it with water and use it as regular PB but with 1/4 the calories.

I guess it's a byproduct of making peanut oil.

There was an article earlier this week about food tends Whole Foods is predicting for 2017 and one trend is increased byproduct.

Edit: changed edible byproduct to just byproduct

How do you make them? I bet they'd be good with bananas.

It's a good ingredient if you're going low carb. Mixed in with chocolate whey protein shakes or mixed with water and reconstituted as peanut butter.

the chocolate one is way better. I use it all the time. Great for smoothies and my kids love it. I mix it with jelly and make PB&J sandwiches and you cant tell the difference and it has a fraction of the calories.

I love peanut butter but at 120 calories a tablespoon it can add up quick

My MIL uses it to make a healthy pad thai sauce that's pretty good over chicken or shrimp. I liked it enough to get a bottle of PB 2 for my pantry.

Is it this one from the manufacturer's website?

Thai PB2 Sauce

"I also serve this as a warm dipping sauce for cooked shrimp or chicken and cup up vegetables. You can use your own family's favorite sauteed vegetables - fresh or frozen. This is also my family's most requested recipe and can be made ahead of time. I always have most of the pantry ingredients and I keep fresh ginger in the freezer. I only have to purchase the cilantro. My daughter calls me from college to review the recipe and makes it for her friends."

1 cup Chopped purple onion
3 Minced garlic cloves
2 cups Low sodium, fat-free chicken broth
2/3 cup PB2 powdered peanut butter
2 tsp Thai curry paste
2 Tbs Chopped fresh ginger
1 Juice of a fresh lime
1/2 tsp Grated lime peel
1 cup Light coconut milk
1 Tbs Brown sugar
1 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup sliced green onions

Coat a nonstick deep skillet with cooking spray. Saute purple onion and garlic, stirring often until soft. Add the remaining ingredients except for chopped cilantro and green onions. You can add more Thai curry paste to give it more heat. Stir until blended and simmer on low for 5 to 10 minutes until flavors blend. Top with cilantro and chopped green onion.

Use it in smoothies with my ninja... 1.5 scoops peanut butter powder, 2 scoops zero carb vanilla protein, ice, and water, and a Splenda

I use it for smoothies or baking when I have it in the pantry. I hardly ever reconstitute and just eat it as PB, but personally I think it's pretty tasty that way. I like to wet it with almond or soy milk, rather the water.
