Any places in Houston that have a good muffuletta?

Not a Totally real muffuletta, but Houston’s Famous Deli does them. Just make sure you ask for no lettuce/tomato/onion/mayo
They do the style of "muffulettas" that Alvin Ords originated, and Schlotzskys then copied. The bread is very tasty although not true muffuletta (it’s the style Schlotzskys based their bread on)

Paulie’s does one on Saturdays...Hay Merchant also has one.

I hate to say this but Jason's deli is the closest to authentic I have found in Houston. They are the only ones in the Houston area that use Leidenheimers muffuletta bread that I know of.

Everytime I see a muff on a menu around Houston, I see mayo and figure no way could it be a good sandwich even if without. Might have to try some suggestions in this thread.
I make them at home but without the proper bread.
One thing I can say definitely... don't buy the olive salad from Spec's. I buy the Boscoli olive salad in New Orleans and mule back to Houston.

Pretty sure Kroger and Central Market have Boscoli...and certain HEBs have Central Grocery olive salad.

I'm pretty sure Specs on Smith has a decent muff. It's been a few years.
