Any place in BR to find fresh Leidenheimer french bread?

where's the best place to find leidenheimer french bread, fresh daily around baton rouge?

eta... Not sure about fresh daily though. Not sure there is any place really.

Ralphs has Reisings... same thing

Or you could go to Calandros and get Pouparts just as good if not better :ducks:

Actually, the Calandros off Siegen and Perkins has both Reislings and Leidenheimer, and you're right. I think they do have Pouparts. You can also get Pourparts at Fresh Pickens off Coursey as well.

Reisings isn't exactly the same, its more chewey, but anywhwere that has leideheimer/zip bread up here has it in a plastic bag like reising, so is chewey as well. They have it in a platic bag to keep it from getting stale, which tells you its not brought daily.

The only way to know that it was from that morning is if its in a PAPER bag. Sometime's i've seen them at Rlph's, but the deli guy syas they usually fly off the shelf.

Calvin's has Poupart's and I happen to like Pouparts very much, as well. I've also seen either Reising's or Leidenheimer's or possibly, both, at Calvin's. Have no idea about the "fresh daily" question. The bread has all been fine, though.
