Something like this.

WTF are you talking about? I just asked for some friendly advice how to make shine and you accuse me of being a F’ing deep state actor?
Making shine isn’t illegal but selling it is, I was just asking for some friendly advice you paranoid frick.

Look it up. Production is illegal as well. Not that you can't buy the equipment on the internet though...

Yeah, you tell that to the cops first as they are cuffing you and then to the judge right before he passes sentence and see where it gets you.

Chaz you need to calm down. Maybe go purchase some legally manufactured spirits at a state licensed retailer and have a sip to take the edge off.

Chaz might want to consider growing some pot and chilling out.

Yes you are right, I figured since we can brew our own beer that making spirits was ok as well but it’s not.
You guys are good dudes and I apologize for my post lashing out.

Too late. We already had our fun :). Now learn your lesson and lighten up on the F&D board. This isn’t the OT.

Truth is, you could get a little thing like that and dick around with "distilling" in your suburban backyard for nobody's potential consumption but your own, and have virtually zero chance of there being any issue. I guess, not unlike growing a MJ plant or two.

Both are still illegal. Look at your own link of how that thing is sold and they spell it out. They say it's only legal for making "essential oils."

First thing in the FAQ Section of the link:
quote:

Frequently Asked Questions

1.Q.Is it legal to own one of your premium copper stills?

1.A. It is legal to own a copper still in the United States. And it is legal to use the still for the production of essential oils. However the production of spirits (or moonshine) is illegal without a BATF permit.

Of course, you are likely getting flagged somewhere by someone when you order something like that regardless.

My brother makes 20 gallons at a time and it's sold at $100 per gallon. He'll make sipping whiskey with some that's really good.

Highly illegal but as long as you aren't in a subdivision you don't have much to worry about. It's a pretty big setup using a 55gal drum.

He doesn't make it often though. 20 gallons is alot.
