Any of you baws get you some Blanton's at Calandros?

I got mine. That was an insane experience. I guarantee I saw some TD baws in there.

it usually just means the liquor rep took the owners out to the distillery and they blended their own barrel. it's fun for the store and a hype maker for the customers.

It was a store pic, so for whatever reason Buffalo Trace put this barrel to the side for a barrel pick. Calandros was selected to purchase a barrel (probably due to the volume of Buffalo trace products sold) and they were given a chance to taste a couple of barrels and they selected this one to purchase.

for something like blantons, yes, but they can probably change the proof. the other post was as if they just bottled a random barrel and gave it to them. they get to taste through it.
batch whiskey you get to pick a barrel before it's poured together.
it's definitely not worth fawning over for blantons since it's a single barrel.
